If you decided to install carpet tiles by yourself, make sure you have a carpet knife, a tape measure, knee pads, a 24" carpenter's square, a chalk line and a carpet tape if it is necessary. Then prepare the floor properly, clean it and make sure there is no dirt on it. The floor has to be dry. As for the process of installation, make sure you have started from the center of your room. To find the center, draw X using the chalk and starting from the corners of the room.

But let us renew the subject. Carpet tiles can also be used as area rugs. They can be place on the hard floor including a wood subfloor and linoleum. Some tiles are environmentally friendly. And at last, let us talk about prices. The cheapest tiles cost about 20 cents per sq. ft., but if you are looking for luxurious carpet tiles, be ready to pay $10 for one tile and even more.
